Sharifa Asma®

Type: David Austin

A charming rose of exquisite delicacy. The double 4 1/2" blooms (petals 50+) are shallow cupped at first and gradually reflex to form a perfect rosette. The color is the most delicate blush pink, fading to almost white on the outer petals. A short, rather upright continual blooming bush. Exquisite sweet/fruity fragrance. One of the most beautiful English Roses. Outstanding in every way.

Beautiful rose, Lovely scentReview by Beth

I bought this rose because of its reputation as one of the most wonderfully scented roses, to plant in my new Scented Garden. It has bloomed and increased in size quite well in the several months that I've had it, and I love the scent and subtle color of the blooms, which it has had many of even in this short time. Highly recommended. (Posted on 8/11/2017)

Who knows why, but some roses really want to live and give you joy. This is one of them.Exquisite fragrance; beautiful form. Strong will to live here in Hawaii. Pretty disease free. My kind of rose. (Posted on 7/18/2017)

I have grown dozens and dozens of roses of every type and color, with and without fragrance, for over 50 years. Sharifa Asma is without a doubt my all-time favorite. She looks delicate but is actually tough and irresistibly lovely. And yes, her fragrance IS to die for. (Posted on 5/31/2017)

15 plus years in Northern IN. Review by PicalilySuzanne

I have this rose..My mother planted three rose plants. It's been in front of my porch for 15 plus years. I have to comment on how hardy this rose is...I live in Northern Indiana and I just picked a leftover bloom 2 days before THANKSGIVING! (Nov 22 today) Not a fluke, every year it blooms even after first frost. It's a tiny bloom but just as fragrant as every bloom before it. I have 3 plants that have survived all these years in temps that dip into negative double digits. Fragrance is the best, I describe it as lemony/fruity/spice (Posted on 11/22/2016)

I have 20 or 30 David Austin roses, many for almost 20 years. Sharifa is my favorite, a bountiful producer with an exotic fragrance. Strong grower to about 5' in Porftland, Oregon and relatively free of the usual black-spot. My first choice of Austin roses. (Posted on 6/4/2014)

This is one of the most beautiful roses I've bought from Heirloom Roses. The color is almost translucent and the fragrance it to die for. (Posted on 12/21/2013)
