Summer Wine

Type: Climbing Roses

The delicately beautiful, nearly single 3 1/2" flowers provide an airy effect of butterflies. The petals of the lovely buds are a rich apricot-coral shading to gold at the base. They open to become eye-catching blooms with scalloped petals of soft coral-pink enhanced by golden centers with striking red anthers. A wonderful continually blooming climber, especially for those who love the beauty of single roses. 8-10 petals.

The two Summer Rose climbers that I purchased this past Spring are growing beautifully! I was drawn to them because they remind me of the color of a perfect glass of Miraval Rose! Just as lovely! The Heirloom Roses website is fantastic for help and great advice on how to plant and care for your purchases! So happy I found them! (Posted on 10/19/2017)

I agree with the review above, and would like to add that this rose has my favorite rose scent of all - somewhat like a wild rose, delicate, fresh, but complex. I look forward to smelling it every year, and love to have one in a vase where it will scent a room, or sit near it outside. (Posted on 6/15/2017)
The perfect climberReview by Kathleen

The photo in your catalog doesn't do this rose justice. I've had several of these adorning my front porches over the years. They are great climbers, grow up and over the porch in one year, provide a privacy screen without trellis support. The color is more pale salmon pink than the one depicted and the red stamens are subtle yet beautiful. The clusters are plentiful and delicate, looking like butterflies in the breeze. A very pleasant fragrance, also. These roses can be cut and remain in a vase for over a week; a great complement to old fashioned roses. (Posted on 6/9/2017)
